Common difference, d = 17 - 20 = - 3
n^th  term of the AP, a_n  = a + (n-1) d = 20 +(n-1) × (-3)

∴ 35^th term of the AP, a₃₅ = 20 + (35-1) × (-3) = 20-102 = -82
