उत्तर
The Hardy-Schulze rule states that the coagulation power of an electrolyte in a colloidal solution depends on the valency of the ion opposite in charge to the colloidal particles. Specifically, the greater the valency of the oppositely charged ion of the electrolyte, the faster the coagulation of the colloidal solution. This means ions with higher charges neutralize the charge on colloidal particles more effectively, causing rapid precipitation. For example, trivalent ions coagulate faster than divalent, which in turn are stronger than monovalent ions.
