2. The estimation of hardness of water:

  2. The hexadentate ligand EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetato) forms stable complexes with Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions and can be used to determine the hardness of water using a simple titration approach.

3. Extraction and Purification of Metals: Coordination compounds are used in processes like:

4. Electroplating:
