उत्तर

Percentage composition of calcium chloride [CaCl2]

Molecular mass of CaCl2 = Ca + 2[Cl]

= 40 + 2[35.5]

= 40 + 71

= 111

% of Ca = `"Mass of calcium"/"Molecular mass" xx 100`

`=40/111 xx 100`

= 36.04%

% of chlorine = `"Mass of Cl"_2/"Molecular mass of CaCl"_2 xx 100`

`= 71/111 xx 100`

= 63.96%

Or % of Cl2 = 100 - 36.04 = 63.96%
