प्रश्न

560 ml of carbon monoxide is mixed with 500 ml of oxygen and ignited. The chemical equation for the reaction is as follows:

उत्तर

\[\ce{\underset{2 Vols}{2CO} + \underset{1 Vol}{O2} -> \underset{2 Vols}{2CO2}}\]

2 ml of CO reacts with O2 = 1 ml

560 ml of CO will react with O2 = `1/2 xx 560` = 280 ml

∴ Volume of oxygen used = 280 ml

2 ml of CO produced CO2 = 2 ml

∴ 560 ml of CO will produce CO2 = 560 ml

Volume of oxygen used = 280 ml

Volume of carbon dioxide produced = 560 ml
