Progressive Education Society’s Modern College of Pharmacy

Progressive Education Society’s Modern College of Pharmacy was established in 1998 at Nigdi, Pune. The college is located in close proximity of the Industrial belt of Pimpri-Chinchwad. The name of society and that of our college, typifies the Society’s mission to be “Progressive” in education and “Modern" in technical knowledge.
     The college is approved by Government of Maharashtra, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and permanently affiliated to University of Pune. Under the leadership of Principal Dr. P. D. Chaudhari, the institute is running basic undergraduate course in Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and four post graduate courses in Pharmacy i.e. M. Pharm in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Quality Assurance Techniques (QAT).
     Recently the college was approved under section 2 (f) & 12 (B) of University Grant Commission (UGC) act, 1956. Every year the college organizes various guest lectures, seminars and workshops sponsored by AICTE, ICMR and Pune University, The resource persons are invited from reputed pharmaceutical industries like Piramal Life Sciences, Wokhardt, Lupin, Cognizant, Novartis and Bilcare etc.
     The college continuously strives for serving the community by frequently conducting various health camps and awareness programmes under National Service Scheme (NSS). In collaboration with University of Pune and Lions Club, health camps were successfully conducted in Shivane, Moshi, Bhose, Nimgaon, Kanhe and many other villages around Pune city.
     The institute till date has produced various stalwarts like Mr. Nirav Bhat, Dr. Sonali Naikwade (An Academician), Mr. Anup Bankar, Mr. Madhav Patil (Clinical Research Scientist) and many others.
