Latthe Education Society's POLYTECHNIC started in June 1983 on no-grant basis, under Directorate of Technical Education, (M.S.) Mumbai, in three basic branches of engineering Civil, Mechanical and Electrical with an intake of 180 students per year. In a short period of time the polytechnic has made a remarkable progress with flying colors. In 2001-02 a new course Computer Engineering and in 2008-2009 Electronics & Telecommunication has been started with intake of 60 respectively.

Latthe Education Society Polytechnic established in pursuance with the Government of India's policy to increase the role of private participation in the Education sector. The Management at LESP brings in the expertise of successfully running an educational group – DTE Mumbai, a renowned private education conglomerate. Fortunate to be led by some of the best minds from the fields of Education and Technology, LESP is poised to play a vital role in providing an important platform for organizations in the field of open education & skill development.

At LESP, we assist Academic Alliances to transform ideas into implementable and successful online skill based and employable programmers by providing end to end educational and skill building solutions.

LESP acts as a learning service provider, offering complete solutions to organizations for their flexible/open learning programmers. LESP emulates the Private-Public Partnership (PPP) Model. LESP handles the back-end and front-end operations on behalf of the client. Back-end operations include designing the course material, obtaining necessary accreditation and student acquisition via LESP Information Centers spread across India. Front-end operations involve student life cycle management by interacting with students through study support, practice tests and result analysis, final examination, certification and placement support.

LESP also acts as a local strategic partner for international accredited Universities who wish to conduct Diploma programmers in India.
