Burhani College of Commerce and Arts

The Burhani Education Society was established in 1969 under the auspices of His Holiness Dr.Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (TUS) and was registered as a Public Trust under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1952.

Burhani Education Society caters to the needs of almost 3000 students keeping in mind the importance of higher education as well as social and scientific aspects of modern society. The guiding philosophy of Burhani Education Society follows and promotes value- based growth. Our pluralistic outlook ensures a continuous learning environment for our students With a view to face a major paradigm shift in the educational scenario, a higher Management institute was established in 2008 to help our students face the challenges and competition in the corporate world. Reiterating the benevolent principles of our founder His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (T.U.S) that the progress and prosperity of a nation depends not only on its economic infrastructure, but also on the growth of a healthy socio-cultural infrastructure, for which, education is vital. Burhani College has evolved a curriculum which focuses on education with value system.  National Development is a collective process, and has to be accomplished through the constructive efforts of enlightened citizens. We also stress on empowering the students with skills required to face the increasing dynamism in the current job market.

AFFILIATION

The College has a permanent affiliation to the University of Mumbai. The college has been accredited  B++ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) a University Grants Commission body, in the year 2004. The college is in the process of being re-accredited shortly. The college also has a certification from the ISO 9001-2000.
