Solution

Given that 

`(2+sqrt3)(2-sqrt3)`

It can be simplified as 

`(2+sqrt3)(2-sqrt3) = 2 xx2-2xxsqrt3+2xx sqrt3 - (sqrt3)^2`

                            ` = 4-2sqrt3+2sqrt3 - `

                             `= 4-3`

                            ` = 1`
