# Write the Remainder When the Polynomial F(X) = X3 + X2 − 3x + 2 is Divided by X + 1. - Mathematics

Write the remainder when the polynomialf(x) = x3 + x2 − 3x + 2 is divided by x + 1.

#### Solution

When the polynomial f(x), divided by (x +1)the remainder will be

f(-1)= (-1)^3+(-1)^2 -3(-1)+2

 = -1 +1 +3 + 2

 = 5

Thus, the reminder = 5
