# Write how ideal gas equation is utilised to obtain combined gas law. - Chemistry

Short Note

Write how ideal gas equation is utilised to obtain combined gas law.

#### Solution

The ideal gas equation is written as

PV = nRT …(1)

On rearranging equation (1), we get,

∴ "PV"/"T" = nR = constant

∴ ("P"_1"V"_1)/"T"_1=("P"_2"V"_2)/"T"_2 ........(2)

The ideal gas equation used in this form is called combined gas law.
