Write the equation of X-axis. Hence, find the point of intersection of the graph of the equation x + y = 5 with the X-axis. - Algebra

Question

Write the equation of X-axis. Hence, find the point of intersection of the graph of the equation x + y = 5 with the X-axis.

Solution

The equation of the X-axis is y = 0.
To find the point of intersection of the equation x +y =5 with the X -axis,

substitute y = 0 in x +y =5

`=>x+0=5`

`=>x=5`

So, the point of intersection will be (5,0)
