# Write the Arithmetic Progressions Write the First Term a and Common Difference D is as Follows: A = -1, D = 1/2 - Mathematics

Write the arithmetic progressions write the first term a and common difference d is as follows:

a = -1, d = 1/2

#### Solution

a = -1, d = 1/2

Now as a = -1

A.P would be represented by a,a_1, a_2,a_3,a_4......

So,

a_1 = a + d

a_1 = -1 + (1/2)

a_1 = (-2 + 1)/2

a_1 = (-1)/2

Similarly

a_2 = a_1 + d

a_2= (-1)/2 + (1/2)

a_2 = 0

Also

a_3 = a_2 + d

a_3 = 0 + (1/2)

a_3 = 1/2

Further

a_4 = a_3  +d

a_4 = (1/2) + (1/2)

a_4 = 2/2

a_4 = 1

Therefore, A.P with a = 4 and d = -3 is -1, (-1)/2 , 0 , 1/2, 1,....
