A reaction in which an acid and base react with each other to give a salt and water is termed as neutralization reaction.For Example:
(i) NaOH + HCl → NaCl + H₂O
(ii) HNO₃ + KOH → KNO₃ + H₂O

(iii)Mg(OH)₂ + H₂CO₃ → MgCO₃ + 2H₂O
