Solution

A reaction in which an acid and base react with each other to give a salt and water is termed as neutralization reaction.For Example:
(i) NaOH + HCl → NaCl + H2O
(ii) HNO3 + KOH → KNO3 + H2O

(iii)Mg(OH)+ H2CO3 → MgCO3 + 2H2O
