d = 1000 km

R = 6400 km

g = 9.8 m/s^{2}

Formula :

`Wd = m xx gd = "mg" ((R-d))/R`

`gd = g(R-d)/d`

`= (9.8(6400 - 1000))/6400`

= `9.8 xx 0.843`

gd = 8.268 m/s

Wd = m x gd

= 500 x 8.268

Wd = 4134.3 N
