Find the amount of water displaced by a solid spherical ball of diameter 28 cm.

["Assume "pi=22/7]

Solution

Radius (r) of ball = (28/2)cm = 14 cm

"Volume of ball "=4/3pir^3

=[4/3xx22/7xx(14)^3]cm^3

= 11498 2/3 cm^3

Therefore, the volume of the sphere is 11498 2/3 cm^3
