(2a ­− 7) (2a − 7) = (2a − 7)2

= (2a)2 − 2(2a) (7) + (7)2 [(a − b)2 = a2 − 2ab + b2]

= 4a2 − 28a + 49

Concept: Expansion of (a + b)2 = a2 + 2ab + b2
