Question

Two dice are thrown at the same time. Find the probability that the sum of the two numbers appearing on the top of the dice is:

13

Solution

The number of possible outcomes =`6xx6=36`

There is no outcome favourable to the event E= `"the sum of two number is 13". `

n(E)=0

Hence, `p(E)=(n(E))/(n(s))=0/36`
