In a single throw of a die, find the probability that the number:  

will be an even number. 

Solution

sample space ={1,2,3,4,5,6} 

n(s) =6 

E=event of getting an even number ={2,4,6} 

n(E) =3 

probability of a getting an event number =`"n(E)"/"n(s)"=3/6=1/2`
