Question

A coin is tossed once. Find the probability of:

not getting a tail

Solution

 Sample space ={H,T}

n(s)=2

Not getting a tail means getting a heads.

Event of getting a heads={H}

n(A) =1

Therefor, the probability of tail= `"n(A)"/"n(s)"=1/2`
