Number of possible outcomes when card is drawn from pack of 52 ards =52

n(s)=52

E= event of drawing a jack or queen = {JH,JS,JD,JC,QH,QS,QD,QC}

n(E)=8

Pprobability of drawing a jack or a queen =(n(E))/(n(s)) =8/52=2/13
