Solution
Vertices of ΔABC are A(3, 4), B(2, 0) and C(–1, 6).
Equation of a line in two point form is
`(y - y_1)/(y_2 - y_1) = (x - x_1)/(x_2 - x_1)`
∴ the equation of the side BC is
`(y - 0)/(6 - 0) = (x - 2)/(-1 - 2) ...[("B" = (x_1,y_1) = (2, 0)),("C" = (x_2,y_2) = (-1, 6))]`
∴ `y/6 = (x - 2)/(-3)`
y = – 2 (x – 2)
∴ 2x + y – 4 = 0.
