Solution

Mass of block = m = 1.35 kg

Volume of block = V = 1.5 x 10-3 m

(1) Density of block = `"m"/"V" = 1.35/(1.5 xx 10^-3) = 900` kgm-3 

(2) Density of block (900 kgm-3) is less than density of water (1000 kgm-3)

∴ Block will float in water
