Clearly, f (x) assumes real values if 4xx2 ≥ 0
⇒ x(4 - x) ≥ 0
 ⇒ -x(x -4) ≥ 0
⇒ x(x -4) ≤ 0
⇒ x ∈ [0, 4]
Hence, domain (f )= [0, 4].
