# The Difference Between the Circumference and Radius of a Circle is 37cm. Using π = 22 7 , Find the Circumference of the Circle. - Mathematics

Sum

The difference between the circumference and radius of a circle is 37cm. Using pi = 22/7 , find the circumference of the circle.

#### Solution

Let the radius of the circle be r and circumference C.

Now,

C- r = 37

⇒  2πr - r = 37

⇒ "r" = (2xx22/7-1) = 37

=> r = (37xx7)/37 = 7 "cm"

Now, C = 2πr =2xx22/7xx7=44  "cm"

Hence, the circumference of the circle is 44 cm.
