The given sequence is 1, 3, 6, 10, …………
Here t1 = 1, t2 = 3, t3 = 6, t4 = 10
Then,
t2- t1 = 3-1 = 2
t2- t3 = 6-3 = 3
t4- t3 = 10-6 = 4
t2- t1≠ t2- t3≠ t4- t3
Since the difference between two consecutive terms is not constant.
Therefore the given sequence is not an A.P.
