# Solve the inequation:4 – 2x < 3(3 – x) - Mathematics and Statistics

Sum

Solve the inequation:
4 – 2x < 3(3 – x)

#### Solution

4 – 2x < 3(3 – x)
∴ 4 – 2 < 9 – 3x
Adding 3x on both sides, we get
4 + x < 9
Subtracting 4 from both sides, we get
x < 5
i.e., x takes all real values less than 5
∴ the solution set is (-oo, 5)
