400m from A's end
Both the athletes have run for the same time. So the ratio of their distances will be the same as the ratio of their speeds. Hence the ratio of the distance covered by A and B, when they meet for the first time is 4: 5. Hence A has covered 400m and B has covered 500 m. So they will meet at 400m from A’s end.
