Solve the following differential equation.

xdx + 2y dy = 0

Solution

xdx + 2y dy = 0

Integrating on both sides, we get

`int x dx +2 int y  dy = 0`

∴ `x^2/2 + (2y^2)/2 = c_1`

∴ x2 + 2y2 = c  .......[2c1 = c]
