Solution
\[{}{a}{\mu}_g = \frac{3}{2} \text{ and } {}{a}{\mu}_w = \frac{4}{3}\]
\[ {}{w}{\mu}_g = ?\]
where,
\[{}{w}{\mu}_g = \text{ Refractive index of glass w . r . t . water} \]
\[ {}{a}{\mu}_g = \text{ Absolute refractive index of glass } \]
\[ {}{a}{\mu}_w =\text{ Absolute refractive index of water} \]
Now,
\[{}{a}{\mu}_g = \frac{3}{2} \text{ and } {}{a}{\mu}_w = \frac{4}{3}\]
\[{}{w}{\mu}_g = \frac{{}{a}{\mu}_g}{{}{a}{\mu}_w} = \frac{3}{2} \times \frac{3}{4} = \frac{9}{8}\]
