Question

Solve the following quadratic equations by factorization:

(x − 4) (+ 2) = 0

Solution

We have

(x − 4) (+ 2) = 0

either

⇒ (x − 4) = 0 or (+ 2) = 0

⇒ x = 4 or x = -2

Thus, x = 4 and x = -2 are two roots of the equation (x − 4) (+ 2) = 0

Is there an error in this question or solution?
