Solve the following equations by method of reduction:

x-y + z = 4,

2x + y - 3z = 0,

x + y + z = 2

x-y + z = 4,

2x + y - 3z = 0,

x + y + z = 2

[[1,-1,1],[0,3,-5],[0,2,0]][[x],[y],[z]]=[[4],[-8],[-2]]

x-y+z=4   ....(1)

3y-5z=-8 ....(2)

2y=-2           ....(3)

y=-1

By equation (2)

–3 – 5z = – 8
–5z = –5
z = 1

By equation (1)

x + 1 + 1 = 4
x = 2
Ans : x = 2, y = –1, z = 1
