Solution
`x^2 - 6x = 27`
`=> x^2 - 6x - 27 = 0`
Here a= 1, b= -6 and c = -27
Then `x = (-b +- sqrt((-6)^2 - 4(1)(-27)))/(2(1))`
`= (6 -+ 12)/2 = (6 +12)/2 and (6 - 12)/2 = 9` and -3
