# Solve Each of the Following Equation and Also Check Your Result in Each Case: 2 X + 5 3 = 3 X − 10 - Mathematics

Sum

Solve the following equation and also check your result:
$\frac{2x + 5}{3} = 3x - 10$

#### Solution

$\frac{2x + 5}{3} = 3x - 10$
$\text{ or }2x + 5 = 9x - 30$
$\text{ or }9x - 2x = 5 + 30$
$\text{ or }7x = 35$
$\text{ or }x = \frac{35}{7}$
$\text{ or }x = 5$
$\text{ Verification: }$
$\text{ L . H . S . }= \frac{10 + 5}{3} = \frac{15}{3} = 5$
$\text{ R . H . S . }= 15 - 10 = 5$
$\therefore\text{ L . H . S . = R . H . S . for }x = 5 .$
