`"2x"/5 + 1 < -3`

⇒ `"2x"/5 + 1 - 1 < - 3 - 1`  (Subtracting 1 from both sides)

⇒ `"2x"/5 < -4`

⇒ `"2x"/5 xx 5 < - 4 xx 5`  ...(Multiplying both sides by 5)

⇒ 2x < - 20

⇒ `"2x"/2 < (-20)/2`  ...(Dividing both sides by 2)   

⇒ x < -10
