Solution
The equations of the given lines are
3x + 2y + 9 = 0 ......(1)
12x + 8y – 15 = 0 ......(2)
Slope of line (1) m1 = `- ("coefficient of " x)/("coefficient of" y)`
m1 = `- 3/2`
Slope of line (2) m2 = `- 12/8`
m2 = `- 3/2`
Here m1 = m2
∴ The given lines are parallel.
