Solution

The equations of the given lines are

3x + 2y + 9 = 0   ......(1)

12x + 8y – 15 = 0   ......(2)

Slope of line (1) m1 = `- ("coefficient of " x)/("coefficient of"  y)`

m1 = `- 3/2`

Slope of line (2) m2 = `- 12/8`

m2 = `- 3/2`

Here m1 = m2

∴ The given lines are parallel.
