Solution - Read Each Statement Below Carefully and State with Reasons, If It is True Or False: Three Vectors Not Lying in a Plane Can Never Add up to Give a Null Vector. - CBSE (Science) Class 11 - Physics

Question

Read each statement below carefully and state with reasons, if it is true or false:

Three vectors not lying in a plane can never add up to give a null vector.

Solution 1

True

Three vectors, which do not lie in a plane, cannot be represented by the sides of a triangle taken in the same order.

Solution 2

True, this is because the resultant of two vectors will not lie in the plane of third vector and hence cannot cancel its effect to give null vector.

Is there an error in this question or solution?
