Three coins are tossed together. Write all the possible outcomes. Now, find the probability of getting: 

at least two heads 

Solution

When three coins are tossed, possible outcomes are: 

HHH,HHT,HTH,HTT,THH,THT,TTH,TTT  

Total possible outcomes=8  

Faavvorable outcomes for at least two heads= HHT,THH,HTH,HHH 

Number of favorable outcomes=4 

P(at least two heads)=`4/8=1/2`
