Solution - The Power Radiated by Linear Antenna of Length T is Proportional to - HSC Science (Electronics) 12th Board Exam - Physics

Question

The power radiated by linear antenna of length T is proportional to........................

(λ= wavelength)

  1. `lambda/ l`
  2. `[lambda/l]^2`
  3. `l/lambda`
  4. `[l/lambda]^2`

Solution

(d) (l/λ)2

Effective power radiated by the antenna would be too small, because the power radiated by a linear antenna of length ‘l’ into space is (l/λ)2.

As high powers are needed for good transmission, so higher frequency is required which can be achieved by modulation.
