Solution

Mohit sold the TV set to Geeta with a profit of Rs. 2000

∴ selling price by Mohit = Rs. (61200 + 2000) = Rs. 63200

Sales tax paid by Geeta = (12.5/100) × 63200 = Rs. 7900

Geeta sold the TV set to Rohan with a profit of Rs. 2000

∴ selling price by Geeta = Rs. (63200 + 2000) = Rs. 65200

Sales tax paid by Rohan = (12.5/100) × 65200 = Rs. 8150

Rohan sold the TV set to Manoj with a profit of Rs. 2000

∴ selling price by Rohan = Rs. (65200 + 2000) = Rs. 67200

Sales tax paid by Manoj = (12.5/100) × 67200 = Rs. 8400

Money paid by Manoj to buy the TV set

= 67200 + 8400

= 75600
