Question

The mass of an iron ball is 312 g. The density of iron is 7.8 g cm-3. Find the volume of the ball.

Solution

Given , Mass  M  = 312 g 

Density  d  =  7.8 g `cm^-3` 

Since  , d  = `M/V` V  = `M/d `

Hence , volume of an   iron  ball  V = `312/7.8`  = 40 `cm ^3`
