The mass of an iron ball is 312 g. The density of iron is 7.8 g cm-3. Find the volume of the ball.

#### Solution

Given , Mass  M  = 312 g

Density  d  =  7.8 g cm^-3

Since  , d  = M/V V  = M/d

Hence , volume of an   iron  ball  V = 312/7.8  = 40 cm ^3
