# Given X ∈ {Integers}, Find the Solution Set Of: -5 ≤ 2x – 3 < X + 2 - ICSE Class 10 - Mathematics

ConceptLinear Inequations in One Unknown

#### Question

Given x ∈ {integers}, find the solution set of:

-5 ≤ 2x – 3 < x + 2

#### Solution

-5 <= 2x - 3 < x + 2

=> -5 <= 2x - 3  and 2x  - 3 < x + 2

=>-5 + 3  <=  2x    and  2x - x  <  2 + 3

=> -2 <= 2x  and  x < 5

Since x in {"integer"}

‌∴ Solution set = {-1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4}
