Solution

`5 - 2"x" < 5 1/2 - 5/3 "x"`

`-2x + 5/3 "x"< 11/2 - 5`

`(-"x")/3 < 1/2`

`-"x" < 3/2`

x > - 1.5

Thus, the required smallest value of x is -1.
