We know that there are 26 letters in the English alphabet.
So, total number of elementary events, n(S) = 26

Out of the 21 consonants of the English alphabet, one consonant can be chosen in 21C1ways.
So, favourable number of events = 21C1 = 21
Hence, required probability =\[\frac{21}{26}\]
