Question

If (5x+3) : (3x+ 1) is the triplicate ratio of 4 : 3 ,  find x.

Solution

`(5x+3) / (3x+ 1) = (4)^3/(3)^3`

⇒ `(5x+3) / (3x+ 1) = 64/27`

⇒  135x + 81= 192x + 64

⇒  57x = 17

⇒  x = `17/57`

x = `17/57`
