Question

If (3x-4) : (2x+5) is the duplicate ratio of 3 : 4 , find x.

Solution

`(3x-4)/(2x+5) = (3)^2/(4)^2`

⇒ `(3x-4)/(2x+5) = (3) = 9/16`

⇒ 48x - 64 - 18x +  45

⇒ 30 x - 109

⇒ x = `109/30`

x = `109/30`
