Rhizobium bacteria live in the root nodules of the leguminous plants.
Rhizobium converts the atmospheric nitrogen into a soluble form such as nitrate and nitrite so that plants can take them up from the soil.
Thus is enriches the soil and makes it fertile thereby helping the farmers.
