The magnetosphere is the region of space surrounding Earth where the dominant magnetic field is the magnetic field of Earth. This magnetic field protects the earth’s atmosphere from the harmful solar winds coming from the sun. These solar winds consist of high energy particles which have the potential to disrupt the earth’s communication system.
