The noble ideas which inspired India's struggle for freedom influenced the making of foreign policy. ii. Nehru's foreign policy was to preserve the hard-earned sovereignty, protect territorial integrity and promote rapid economic development. Nehruji wished to achieve these objectives through the strategy of non-alignment. This also reflects the domestic concern in foreign policy.
