Find the value of a, b, c in the following quadratic equation : 2x2 ‒ x ‒ 3 = 0

Solution

Given equation is 2x2 – x – 3 = 0.
Comparing the given equation with general form of quadratic equation
ax2 + bx + c, we have
a = 2, b = –1 and c = –3
